A Brief History...
The Virginia Corvette Club was started in October of 1983 with a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway that included 22 Corvettes. Even though the club is based in the Lynchburg area, the title “Virginia Corvette Club” was chosen because members reside in several counties and towns in this beautiful part of the state.
The activities are varied as they include attending Cruise Nights, general make and Corvette specific car shows (local and national), activities with other Corvette clubs, drag racing, and numerous rides to various locations including the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Virginia Corvette Club supports local organizations and also the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky.
Even though the main goal of the club is to have fun with America’s only sports car, the club and its members are always there for anyone who needs help or advise with Corvettes.
The meetings are at different times and locations to try to accommodate everyone and a quick check of the calendar on the web site can keep everyone informed of the upcoming meetings and all of the other activities relevant to Corvette owners and fans.
